A new product in the BU store? Who would have guessed.. actually it’s an old set of screen/litho prints I made about six years ago. Very limited quantities were printed and even fewer still exist.

Born Ugly #9 Premiere and Skate Trivia Night at Cous Cous

That’s right bitches! Issue #9 is hot off the press and we’re stoked to be teaming up with our friends at Cous Cous for the release. If you’ve been to Skate and Destroy Trivia Night before then you know it’s a fucking blast with Al Copeland on the mic. This coming Friday night (March 11th), Skate Night returns to celebrate our new issue and the soon to be completed Lost Bowl. There will be old school videos on the projector and a DJ playing all skate rock jams through the night. A bunch of advertisers have come through with gear for prizes as well as local shops like Pibby’s and Dominion so your chance of getting some free shit is pretty good! Come out, have some brews with us, and be one of the first to get the new issue.

Our buddy Chip Atkins has opened up his new location for Pibby’s!! For the last few years he’s been providing solid bicycle repair services and parts but he’s really stepped it up with the new spot. It looks great inside and has a ton of new product as well as some well chosen skate gear (ie. boards over 8″ wide in a bunch of different shapes, larger wheels, etc.) I don’t know much about bike stuff but he’s even got a few helmets that look cool! Crazy, right?! Stop by and check it out, right downtown on Broad Street! Here are the details…

Well 2010 was a pretty good year for Born Ugly and we owe a shit load to everyone who supported the mag in any way!! I think our biggest accomplishment was being included in this uber hip fashion mashup seen below (and linkable here). No clue how we would up on this thing but our shirt is matched with a racoon tail so we must be on the cutting edge of fashion since I’m told that’s what the fashiony fuckheads in Williamsburg are doing these days.

Oh yeah, did we forget to mention that the Lost Bowl kickstarter got funded?!? Fuck yeah!!! $5520 toward finishing off Richmond’s new roundwall mecca! Conragts King Pat and thanks to everyone who contributed!!
